Overview
At TaxSight, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle the information you provide when using our tax estimation tool. Our core principle is simple: we process your data to provide you with tax insights, but we don't store your information.
Information We Process
When you use TaxSight, you may upload pay stub documents in PDF or image format. These documents typically contain sensitive financial information, including:
- Income details
- Tax withholdings
- Social Security and Medicare contributions
- Pre-tax deductions
- Personal identifiers (name, employee ID, etc.)
No Data Storage Policy
We do not store your documents or extracted data in our databases. Your pay stub is processed in the following manner:
- When you upload a document, it is temporarily held in memory during processing.
- Our AI system analyzes the document to extract relevant tax information.
- The extracted information is used to calculate your estimated tax liability.
- The results are displayed to you in your browser.
- Once processing is complete, both the original document and the extracted data are automatically discarded from our systems.
- If you download a report, this happens entirely on your device - we don't store copies of these reports.
How We Use AI
TaxSight uses artificial intelligence to analyze your pay stub documents. This processing is done securely through the Vercel AI SDK and Anthropic's models. The AI processing is temporary, and no training data is retained from your documents.
Security Measures
While we don't store your data, we still implement security measures during the processing phase:
- Secure HTTPS connections for all data transfers
- Temporary processing in secure, isolated environments
- No logging of sensitive information
- Regular security audits of our application
Your Rights
Since we don't store your data, there's no need to request deletion or access to your information - it's automatically discarded after processing. However, if you have any concerns about how your data is handled, please contact us.
